Tips for the white beans recipe

  • Some might say: “Hey, it’s Basque; where are the green olives?”. Well, we find that olives do great with a complete meal like Basquaise chicken, but as a side dish, they might overpower the taste of the beans. Feel free to add them back, especially if you’re enjoying the beans on their own as a vegetarian main.
  • A kick of heat never hurts, so you can add 1/2 teaspoon of Cayenne pepper to the beans if you like.

How to keep the white beans leftovers

You can keep any white beans leftovers for up to 3 days in an airtight container in your refrigerator. Reheat in a medium saucepan with a few drops of water to loosen the sauce.
