Vestiaire Collective Eliminates Seller Fees

Reselling designer pieces is about to become even more appealing thanks to Vestiaire Collective’s latest initiative. As of this month, the online luxury fashion resale site has eliminated seller fees on over 4,000 brands, including Bottega Veneta, Celine, Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Loewe, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Thom Browne, Tory Burch, and so many more. That means anyone selling pre-owned items from these brands won’t incur a commission fee (previously, it was 12 percent), though the typical payment processing fee (3 percent) still applies. According to a press release, the brand hopes the move will encourage more people to take a more sustainable approach when cleaning out their closets.

Created as a gentle, everyday balm-to-lather face wash, the product aims to boost hydration with a foaming formula that won’t leave the skin feeling stripped. The sunny colored cleanser boasts a list of sensitive skin-friendly ingredients including polyglutamic acid (a powerful hydrator), pineapple enzyme (a natural exfoliant), and green-tea extract (a soothing antioxidant). Designed for morning and evening use, the cleanser now takes the top spot in the Rhode five-step routine.
