5 Last-Minute Gift Ideas, Courtesy of Fashion’s Favorite Food Lovers

It’s said the way to the heart is through the stomach—and these five Vogue-favorite tastemakers from the world of food are here to prove it this holiday season. Stuck for a last-minute gift idea for the culinary whizz in your life? Here, find five suggestions for picking up something special during the last days of the holiday rush.

Samin Nosrat, chef

This year I tried Blackthorn Scottish Sea Salt Flakes for the first time, and it was heavenly. A 1.4kg bucket would make a wonderful gift for any avid cook (or eater), and last for ages, too.

Imogen Kwok, food stylist

I first tried pistachio cream with panettone a few Christmases ago, so it always reminds me of the holidays. More sophisticated and complex in flavor than other nut butters, its smooth texture makes any bite taste decadent, whether it’s on toast or in between layers of sponge cake.

Gabbriette, model & musician

An essential for any kitchen is a great olive oil, and one that also looks stunning on the countertop is a plus. My favorite is from Sicily, made by Baroncini. It’ll last you a while (unless you’re me because I basically put this in my cereal). Use for dressings, cakes, and finishing dishes. So complex in flavor and a very sexy, thoughtful gift.

Alison Roman, food writer

A very good gift for someone who enjoys gorgeous packaging and tiny salty fish would be an almost comically large tin of anchovies. I have tins that I’m waiting for a special occasion to open (one preferably involving others who also enjoy anchovies, since once you open the tin, there’s no going back), but meanwhile, they look great on my pantry shelf.

Laila Gohar, artist

I love to gift the Gohar World & Casa Bosques Milk Chocolate and Toasted Hazelnut Bar. I make it with my best friend Rafael Prieto from single-origin cocoa and it tastes like Italian gianduja. The packaging is really beautiful, too.
