If you’re looking for the best fun in the sun, it has to be Marmaris. But knowing where to stay in Marmaris is needed so you can make the best of your time and see all there is to explore. Offering fantastic beaches, amazing food, vibrant nightlife, and plenty of hot weather, this Turkish town offers it all.

Having lived in Marmaris, Turkey for several years, I know how important it is to choose the right area to base yourself. Get it wrong, and you could find that your vacation is less than you were hoping for. And believe me, there is so much to see and do that you’ll want to maximize your time as much as possible!

I love this town; for me, it doesn’t get any better. It’s a place that fits the old cliche of ‘something for everyone,’ and it’s so relaxing and fun all at the same time. So, using all my knowledge from many fun-filled days in the sun, I’m going to help you figure out the best area to stay in Marmaris for you.

Best Areas to Stay in Marmaris

Quick Look: Best Areas to Stay in Marmaris

Where To Stay in Marmaris

There are countless hotels and apartments to choose from, but knowing the best areas to stay in Marmaris is so important. Here are five neighborhoods I believe you should put top of your consideration list:

Siteler: Best Place To Stay in Marmaris for Your First Time

The great thing about Siteler is that it fits the bill for everyone. It’s home to some of the best hotels in Marmaris, but it’s also a great area for dining and shopping. It’s also really easy to get around, thanks to the local dolmus (public minibus) and plenty of taxis.

Siteler is by the sea, so you can either stay on the beachfront itself or a street back, which is where a few of the cheaper places to stay in Marmaris can be found. Either way, I really like the Siteler area, and for a first-timer, it gives you a great overview of Marmaris itself.

Pros of Staying in Siteler

  • Many higher-class hotels in this area
  • Some cheaper apartments are available one street back from the beach
  • A large range of dining options
  • Shopping is great
  • Easy to get around

Cons of Staying in Siteler

  • You’re quite far from Uzuyalı’s main nightlife, so you’ll need a taxi at night
  • This area is extremely busy, which may be an issue for you
  • The beach in Siteler is fairly narrow
  • The best hotels in this area are quite expensive

Best Places to Stay in Siteler

Whether you choose to stay in a five-star hotel or a cheaper apartment, Siteler is one of the Marmaris neighborhoods that’s always busy. Many people choose to come back to this area time and time again, and once you’ve visited, it’s easy to see why.

1. Define & Zevkim Hotel: I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times, and I really liked how cozy it felt. This is a small hotel but is really friendly and offers a fantastic location to explore Marmaris further. Click here for details.

2. TUI Blu Grand Azur: This hotel has long been a Marmaris favorite, and it’s one of the oldest hotels in the area; not that it shows because the hotel itself is modern in design. The Grand Azur is located on the beachfront and has its own private gardens and beach area, perfect for chilling out. Click here for details.

3. Yeshill Boutique Hotel: This hotel is so modern and bright, you’ll probably want to spend a big chunk of your time around the pool. I wouldn’t blame you; I really enjoyed my stay here, and I would definitely go again. Click here for details.

Top Things To Do in Siteler

A yellow and blue swirl slide in the center of the pool, as well as trees surrounding the pool's perimeter.

You can choose to spend your days lazing around the pool or on the beach, but there’s so much to see in this area, it would be a shame not to explore.

1. Atlantis Waterpark: This beachfront waterpark is fun for all the family, and although it can get incredibly busy during the peak summer months, I always schedule a visit. There are waterslides, a private beach, and even a chill-out area. Click here for ticket details and click here for directions.

2. Marmaris Water Sports: The first time I went to Marmaris I tried parasailing and although I was terrified, I’m so glad I did it – it was amazing. The Siteler area is ideal for different water sports as it’s a little quieter than further up the beach. Click here for directions.

3. Jeep Safari: Taking a full-day Jeep safari trip is a great thing to do, and it should certainly be on your list. Spend a full day enjoying the scenery, riding off-road, having water fights, and enjoying lunch in a traditional village. Click here for details.

Where to Eat and Drink in Siteler

On a wooden plate, a steak is sliced with a fork and knife.

Siteler is packed with great places to eat and drink, with international and Turkish menus on offer. Here are some of my favorite spots:

1. Cihan Ocakbaşı: It has to be this place every time for me. This is the best restaurant to try traditional Turkish grilled meat dishes and it’s tourist-friendly so you’ll have an easy experience with some of the best (and cheapest) food around. This is a 100% must-visit. Click here for directions.

2. The Ledbury Steakhouse: I had the best steak at this restaurant, and the prices are extremely reasonable. This place is also great for families as their children’s menu is huge – there’s something for even the fussiest of eaters. Click here for directions.

3. Şamdan: This is another great spot for steak, but they have a large menu featuring all kinds of international and local food. You can also watch sports here, and there’s frequent evening entertainment too. Click here for directions.

Uzunyalı: Best Area in Marmaris for Nightlife

nightlife marmaris

If you’re looking for where to stay in Marmaris for nightlife, I’d highly recommend the Uzunyalı area, which you’ll also hear called ‘the beachfront.’ There are countless hotels lining the beach, and they all have their own private section of beach that you can use as long as you purchase food and drinks.

The thing I like most about this area is that it provides relaxation and nightlife all in one, however, if you’re expecting an early night of peace and quiet, you might struggle to get to sleep before 2 a.m. If you consider yourself a night owl, and you’re looking for places to stay in Marmaris for a really vibrant time, this is a great area.

Pros of Staying in Uzunyalı

  • Plenty of nightlife and a fun area
  • Some great restaurants on the beachfront with a view
  • Easy access to the beach
  • Easy to meet new people

Cons of Staying in Uzunyalı

  • If you want to sleep early, this isn’t going to be a good option for you
  • Some bars/restaurants will give you the hard sell every time you walk past, trying to get you to go inside
  • Beachfront hotels are a little more expensive

Best Places to Stay in Uzunyalı

The great thing about staying in Uzunyalı is that you’ll be right on the beach, with a fantastic view. It’s also the best place to stay in Marmaris for nightlife. Here are my top picks for the area:

1. Premier Nergis Beach & Spa: This hotel is a stylish choice and it has a spa included. It’s also a good option if you want to be near the nightlife but not right next door to it, as it’s a few buildings away from the main strip. Click here for details.

2. Motto Premium Hotel & Spa: If you want to wake up to the best sea view around, this place is the ideal spot. The rooms are also large and modern, which gives you a comfortable place to stay. Click here for details.

3. Moni Hotel: While definitely within the Uzunyalı area, this hotel is a street back from the beach, so it offers a cheaper place to stay. Despite that, I really enjoyed this hotel, and it’s a relaxing place to stay if you want to enjoy the nightlife, but you don’t want to be right in the thick of it. Click here for details.

Top Things To Do in Uzunyalı

A woman with a blue dress and a summer hat on the edge of the boat, with a blue sea and a green mountain in the background.

There are plenty of Marmaris hotels near nightlife, but there’s more to this area than just partying until the early hours:

1. Take an all-inclusive boat trip: One of the best things to do in Marmaris is to take a full-day boat trip around the various bays. Most tours stop at Turunç, a small resort not too far away, and your lunch and most drinks are included. This is a great day out for groups, couples, and families alike. Click here for details.

2. Traditional Turkish hammam: I always get a Turkish bath in the first couple of days of arriving, (it gives a great foundation for a tan). Aside from that, it’s a traditional thing to do, and it’s extremely relaxing. You can even have a couple’s hammer experience if you’re looking for things to do with your partner. Click here for details.

3. Enjoy a Turkish night: There’s a lot going on around the beachfront during the evening hours, but a trip to attend a nearby Turkish night is a great idea if you’re seeking some authentic entertainment. I really enjoyed this trip, and it was the first time I ever saw a belly dancer. Dinner is included, and it’s great fun for families especially. Click here for details.

Where to Eat and Drink in Uzunyalı

A set of six wine glasses, a bottle of wine, and cutlery on a white table at sunset, with a pool and beach in the backdrop.

Along the beachfront, you’ll find no shortage of places to eat and drink. Here are a few of my regular haunts:

1. Bono Good Times Beach: The food here is divine, and it’s a great spot to settle and watch the sunset. This restaurant is also at the far end of the beach, so it’s a little more secluded. I’d recommend this restaurant for couples who want a romantic meal together. Click here for directions.

2. Yunus Cafe Bar: This is one of my favorite restaurants – although it might not sound like authentic cuisine, their chicken baguettes are amazing! I also like the beachfront ambiance and the chilled-out feel of this spot. This is another great place for couples but also groups who want to sit and converse over a meal. Click here for directions.

3. Stella Beach Restaurant & Bar: The cocktails here are pretty special, but they also serve fantastic seafood. If that’s not for you, be sure to check out their Turkish cuisine, which includes delicious grilled meats and salads. Click here for directions.

Tepe: Coolest Place to Stay in Marmaris

A green hill and a historic city downhill.

The Tepe area is basically the center of Marmaris, and this is where you’ll find the Old Town, castle, bazaar, and Bar Street. I like this area because it feels city-like, (despite being right on the Marina), with fantastic sea views. If you’re looking for where to stay in Marmaris city center, I’d definitely recommend looking into this location.

The great thing about Tepe is that, apart from Bar Street, it’s pretty chilled out at night, and the Marina has some great cafes, bars, and restaurants to enjoy day or night.

Pros of Staying in Tepe

  • Tepe offers a little bit of everything
  • A bit more sophisticated than the beachfront
  • Close to main shops
  • Good nightlife on the Marina and Bar Street
  • Some cheaper accommodation options are available

Cons of Staying in Tepe

  • Bar Street isn’t for everyone; if you want to club, it’s great, but it can be loud until around 4 a.m.
  • The city center is very busy during the daytime
  • Traffic can be quite bad throughout the day and early evening
  • You will need to walk a fair distance to the main beachfront nightlife or the Siteler area

Best Places to Stay in Tepe

Tepe has many smaller, boutique hotels and guest houses available, which makes it a great place for couples who want to chill out, and even solo travelers. If you’re looking for where to stay in Marmaris away from the huge hotels and all-inclusive options, here are some recommendations:

1. Trea Homes Marina Suites: Located right over the Grand Bazaar, this hotel offers one-bedroom apartments with the best views around. I couldn’t believe it when I opened the curtains in the morning; I was greeted with a panoramic scene that took my breath away. It’s also located in the best spot possible. Click here for details.

2. Liman Deluxe Hotel: This hotel sits very close to the Marina, which gives fantastic views and is a great place to sit and enjoy breakfast. Rooms here are large and beautifully decorated, with a great restaurant on site. Click here for details.

3. Sunset Boutique Hotel Marmaris: I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, and the restaurant provides the perfect setting. I liked the location, but I also thought the hotel itself was really comfortable and the staff couldn’t do enough to make my stay memorable. Click here for details.

Top Things To Do in Tepe

An old castle with a beautiful garden.

Tepe is one of the best places to stay in Marmaris Center because you’re close to some fantastic attractions. I love simply walking around this area, but there are some specific things you shouldn’t miss:

1. Haggle in the Grand Bazaar: If you’re looking for souvenirs to take back home or you want some new shoes, clothes, or bags, this is the best place to go. You might not be used to bargaining/hassling, but trust me, it gets easier with practice.

This huge bazaar is covered, and I’d recommend going during the early evening to beat the heat; most vendors stay open until around 10 p.m. Click here for directions.

2. Walk along Marmaris Marina: An evening walk along the Marina is a wonderful idea, and it’s very romantic too. There are lots of cafes, bars, and restaurants around here, but I enjoy just walking and checking out the huge yachts.

Before you head to the Marina, check out the music and light show at the fountain in the city center too. Click here for directions.

3. Visit Marmaris Castle & Old Town: Marmaris Castle is a beautiful spot, with amazing views and a small museum to learn more about the area. It stands above the Marina and over the Old Town, with its cobbled streets. It’s a great idea to take a walking tour so you can learn more about the area; click here for tour details and click here for directions.

Where to Eat and Drink in Tepe

Pineapple fried rice with shrimp, beautiful food decoration, serve fried rice in a half fresh pineapple, cashew nuts on top. close-up food image, natural lighting.

Tepe offers some great spots for dining, including the city center and along the Marina. If you want a quiet, sophisticated meal with a view, this is the area to go. These are some of my favorites:

1. Pineapple Restaurant: I know I keep talking about views, but the panorama from this restaurant is indescribable. Of course, the food is good too; I really enjoyed my surf & turf from here, and the cocktails are fantastic. This isn’t the cheapest spot, but for a romantic meal or a special occasion, it’s a great choice. Click here for directions.

2. O’Yes Restaurant: O’Yes is a Marmaris institution, and it’s famous amongst locals. Located at the starting point of the Marina, I adore their Mexican baguettes, but their evening menu is fantastic, with a great selection for children too. Click here for directions.

3. Kircicegi: This restaurant is a Turkish chain, but it’s a great place to try traditional foods, such as kebabs and pide. I always enjoy their lahmacun and the menu is offered in both English and Turkish, so you’ll find it easy to sample lots of different things without confusion. Click here for directions.

İçmeler: Best for Families

A view of an empty beach in Marmaris in the early hours of the morning.

İçmeler is a small beach town and one of the best neighborhoods in Marmaris. I love this place and I always go several times whenever I’m in the area. I think the beach in İçmeler is a lot better than Marmaris itself, as it’s wider and doesn’t have the main road running along it.

If you’re visiting with children, İçmeler is a great choice. It has a more laid-back feel and doesn’t have the busy roads and traffic that Marmaris has; it’s also a little quieter so you can walk around with ease. There’s an Old Village behind the main part of the town too, which feels like you’ve been transported to another world.

Pros of Staying in İçmeler

  • A good choice if you’re traveling with children
  • Lower cost accommodation compared to Marmaris itself
  • Quieter than Marmaris, which may be a pro or con for you
  • Great restaurants

Cons of Staying in İçmeler

  • İçmeler has a British feel, which may or may not be an issue for you
  • You’ll need to take a taxi or the dolmus (public minibus) if you want to go over to Marmaris
  • It’s important to check where your hotel is; if it’s far back in the Old Village, walking at night is a distance and dark

Best Places to Stay in İçmeler

Some of the best places to stay in Marmaris are actually in İçmeler and the vibe of the place is so much more laid-back and traditionally beachy. Check out these options below:

1. Hotel Aqua: This five-star, beach property is one of the best hotels in the area. Families will enjoy this hotel because there’s so much going on, including sports, entertainment, a huge pool, and a great kid’s club.

The food on-site is also really good for an all-inclusive, but I would recommend you head out and try some local restaurants too. Click here for details.

2. Avlu 4: Located in the heart of İçmeler, this hotel is a great base; whether you’re planning on spending your entire time in the town or heading over to the main beach in Marmaris for a change. The rooms are large and comfortable and they have some bigger apartments that can sleep up to four adults—ideal for groups or families. Click here for details.

3. Speedy Apart Otel: While this hotel is located in the Old Village, it’s a great choice for people who just want to chill out and enjoy the scenery. With huge, green mountains all around, you’re not far away from the main beach and there are buses and taxis readily available.

This hotel also has a large pool and a dedicated children’s section, making it ideal for families. Click here for details.

Top Things To Do in İçmeler

In the distance, there is a building and a house construction in front of the pier, as well as a close-up little boat and other boats.

For me, İçmeler is always a good option when choosing where to stay in Marmaris, and there are plenty of things to do in this part of town. Here are some of my top suggestions:

1. Take a Local Village Tour: Around the back of İçmeler and beyond there are many small, traditional villages that are stunningly beautiful. Taking a guided tour will show you the best ones, as well as some of the main attractions in the area. I really enjoyed this tour and recommend it for couples and families with older children. Click here for information.

2. Visit Dalyan’s Mud Baths: A day trip to Dalyan is a must and the mud baths here are such good fun. You’ll also cruise down the Dalyan River, passing the Lycian King’s Tombs, and stop for a break at Turtle Beach. It’s a busy day out, but it’s one you simply have to do when you visit this area. Click here for information.

3. Visit Turunç: While you’re in İçmeler, it’s really easy to head over to Turunç, a small beach village over the other side of the mountain. You can take a private taxi or a water taxi, but I love the drive over the mountains: you journey up so high and the views are incredible. Click here for directions.

Where to Eat and Drink in İçmeler

Chicken Kiev cutlet. Boneless chicken breast with butter and herbs. Selective focus.

İçmeler is a little smaller than the main part of Marmaris, so there’s less choice available, but the restaurants here are really good; in fact, I’d say some of the best gastronomy spots are in İçmeler. Be sure to add these spots to your list:

1. Ida Restaurant: The fact that this restaurant is always busy should tell you a lot. This is a regular of mine and the casseroles and chicken kiev are wonderful. Definitely check out their cocktails too. Click here for directions.

2. Ibiza Beach Cafe & Bar: I’ve visited this restaurant several times in the day to use their beach and for lunch. The menu is large and is especially great for families. They also host live music several nights per week in both English and Turkish. Click here for directions.

3. Liberty Restaurant & Bar: Hands down, this is the best place for a traditional Turkish breakfast with seating on a jetty over the sea. Their evening menu is also fantastic with delicious seafood and steak dishes options. This is always a go-to for me when I want a full breakfast feast to set me up for the day. Click here for directions.

Armutalan: Best Place in Marmaris on a Budget

A city scene with people walking and sitting on a bench, trees and buildings on the sidewalk, and a mountain in the distance.

Armutalan is a bright and vibrant part of Marmaris, which sits at the back of the town, around ten minutes drive away from the beach. This is one of the best places to stay in Marmaris for groups because you can find cheaper accommodation here and many spacious apartments.

I like Armutalan’s relaxed vibe, but the nightlife here is really good fun. It’s not too crazy or loud, but it’s a great spot for families – you’ll find shows, karaoke, and dancing most nights. It’s definitely one of the cheaper places to stay in Marmaris, but you won’t have to compromise on quality.

Pros of Staying in Armutalan

  • Best place to stay in Marmaris for groups and good for families too
  • Cheaper accommodation and a good range of apartments
  • If you head to the back of Armutalan, you’ll find a residential vibe, which is a nice break from tourism
  • Great restaurants
  • Good shopping opportunities

Cons of Staying in Armutalan

  • You’re far away from the beach (take a taxi, bus, or 15-20-minute walk)
  • Armutalan feels quite British, which might be a pro or a con for you
  • Not too many traditional restaurants; most offer international menus

Best Places to Stay in Armutalan

Armutalan is one of the best places to stay near Marmaris Center because it offers good quality for money. Also, if you’re looking for places to stay in Marmaris with parking, you’ll find several options here as it’s not so close to the busiest part of town.

1. Club Aida: I like this hotel because it’s in Armutalan but not too far back. It also offers great facilities and is a top choice for families thanks to the huge pool, games area, and entertainment. Click here for details.

2. Alenz Suite: This hotel sits between the far end of Siteler and the start of Armutalan, so it’s in a really good location. It’s also a good choice for groups as they offer two-bedroomed apartments, with great facilities, including a lively bar area. Click here for details.

3. Golden Orange Apart: I recommend this hotel for families as it’s packed with things to do and the pool area is huge. The bar and restaurant area offers entertainment most nights of the week and it’s a fun place to stay without breaking the bank. Click here for details.

Top Things To Do in Armutalan

A pier, trees on the side land, a housing structure, and a distant mountain.

While Armutalan isn’t particularly close to the beach, it does have plenty of things to do. Most hotels in this area tend to be large and have pool areas with their own entertainment too, so you might choose not to venture out every day. It’s a good choice when considering where to stay for Marmaris if you want a relaxing time with the option to explore.

1. Visit Akyaka: The good thing about staying in Armutalan is that you’re close to the main road out of the town, so trips are easier. Akyaka is a beautiful, traditional beach town around 20 minutes away from Marmaris. This trip is a great day out and I really enjoyed the riverboat cruise. Click here for details.

2. Marmaris National Park: A short distance away by car, you’ll find Marmaris National Park, a beautiful spot for walking and simply being in the arms of Mother Nature. I always head here during the hottest days as the shade from the trees gives some welcome relief from the heat.

It’s also somewhat of a hidden gem, as most people stick to the beach. Click here for directions.

3. Visit Cleopatra Island: This tour is one of my favorites – Cleopatra Island is so blindingly beautiful you won’t believe your eyes. However, don’t be tempted to take any of the sand home with you as you’ll get into trouble—this sand was imported by Mark Antony for Cleopatra herself, who loved this location.

Behind the beach, you’ll find some old ruins and fantastic views. Click here for details.

Where to Eat and Drink in Armutalan

Turkish restaurant with seafood and vegetables.

There’s no shortage of bars and restaurants in the Armutalan area, and most hotels also have dining and entertainment options. Here are some to consider:

1. Sarma Bahçe: This is one of the few traditional restaurants in Armutalan and is one of the best in the entire town. Here, a group of Turkish ladies create delicious meals in what looks like a home kitchen. The menu changes daily and you’ll likely have never tasted food like this before – it’s a really special spot. Click here for directions.

2. J&J Steakhouse: If you’re craving a steak, this is the place to go in Armutalan. The portions are huge, so bear that in mind when you’re ordering, and arrive hungry! This restaurant also has a great children’s menu, which caters to picky eaters. Click here for directions.

3. New York Restaurant & Bar: This is a very popular bar in the Armutalan area amongst locals and tourists alike. It’s a great place to watch sports, and its menu is very large, including some traditional Turkish food. Make sure you try the chicken casserole here, it’s one of my favorites. Click here for directions.

Tips About Staying in Marmaris

Having lived in Marmaris for several years in the past, I know that choosing the best accommodation in Marmaris is important. But it’s not only that, there are some local bits of knowledge you need to know to make your stay the best it can possibly be. So, let me share my pearls of wisdom:

Check the Map Before Booking Accommodation

GPS Map to Route Destination network connection Location Street Map with GPS Icons Navigation

I’ve been stung by hotel descriptions so many times in Marmaris. The description might say Siteler, but in reality, it’s at the far end of Armutalan. My advice is not to look at the address but instead, pull it up on the map and see where it really is. It will save you a lot of stress when you arrive and find out you’re not exactly where you thought you’d be.

Check Air Conditioning is Included in the Price

Trust me when I say that Marmaris gets HOT during the summer months. Don’t even look at what the weather app says; you can often add a good 8 degrees onto its description because of humidity, so you’ll need air conditioning.

When you book your accommodation, send them a message and check AC is included in the price, otherwise, you’ll have a hefty shock when you arrive and you have to pay extra just to stay cool.

Make Use of Public Transport

When I first visited Marmaris, I was terrified of the local dolmus (public minibus) but once I tried it, I realized there was nothing to worry about.

Taxis are fine for travel at night, but I recommend you use public transport to get around if you need to. Walking is hard in the heat, and the dolmus is so cheap and easy to use—just shout when you want to get off.

Avoid All-Inclusive Hotels if Possible

All-inclusive hotels are great for families because the cost of food and drink is already factored in. But if possible, I’d try and avoid them. The temptation to just stay and eat in the hotel is strong and you’ll miss out on so many amazing traditional foods in nearby restaurants.

Eat Where the Locals Go

Delicious Turkish Food Gozleme

Sticking with the food subject for a moment: ask your hotel receptionist or bar staff where they go to eat. Beachfront restaurants will always be more expensive and they don’t necessarily offer the best traditional food around.

On the back streets and in the center of town you’ll find some local spots that will show you just how delicious Turkish food can be, and how cheap it is if you know where to eat.

FAQ’s About Where To Stay in Marmaris

Most people have a few common questions about where to stay in Marmaris, so let me draw on my experience as a local and answer those burning queries:

What area of Marmaris is best for tourists?

Most people want to stay near to the beach, so Uzunyalı, Siteler, and İçmeler are top spots. There are more upmarket areas in Marmaris too, such as Beldibi and Sariyana, but these are more residential than touristic.

Where should I avoid staying? (Where NOT to stay in Marmaris)

There aren’t any major no-nos when it comes to choosing where to stay, but try to avoid the very back of Armutalan if possible. There’s nothing wrong with this area; it’s just far from the beach and the main sights.

What is the safest place to stay in Marmaris?

If you want to choose a safe neighborhood in Marmaris, I’d go with Siteler or İçmeler. These are more family-friendly areas that shy away from the crazy nightlife.

Does it matter where I stay in Marmaris?

Yes, choosing the right place to stay in Marmaris matters. You have to think about what you want to do with your time; so if you want to spend a lot of time on the beach, avoid Armutalan or Tepe.

Which part of Marmaris is most beautiful?

I think all of Marmaris is beautiful, but for me, İçmeler wins every time. However, the views from the Marina in Tepe are very special too.

Should I stay in downtown Marmaris?

If you want to be close to the main attractions and nightlife, Tepe is a good spot, also known as the city center.

Is Marmaris walkable?

It’s very possible to walk around Marmaris, however, the intense heat during July and August can make it challenging.

Where to stay in Marmaris to be close to everything?

Choosing the best guesthouse in Marmaris is important if you want to avoid using public transport. To be close to everything, Uzunyalı is your best bet.

What’s the best way to get around Marmaris?

Don’t be afraid to use the dolmus minibusses as they’re very convenient and cheap. You can walk easily, but high temperatures can often make that difficult. Taxis are a good choice during the evening hours and you’ll find many taxi stations on the main roads.

Which is more beautiful Antalya or Marmaris?

Both Antalya and Marmaris are beautiful in their own right. While Antalya certainly offers some of the most stunning beaches in Turkey overall, Marmaris doesn’t fall far behind.

Is Marmaris expensive?

If you choose the best neighborhood in Marmaris for your needs, you’ll be able to save money on taxis and buses. Overall, Marmaris isn’t an expensive place compared to many other European destinations.

Why do people go to Marmaris?

Most people go to Marmaris for the fantastic weather, beaches, food, and vibrant nightlife.

What is the best month to visit Marmaris?

Choosing the best month to visit Marmaris really depends on how much heat you can stand. Personally, I like June and September because they’re a little milder but still hot enough for beach time. If you like it really hot, July and August are for you.

In Conclusion

Now you know where to stay in Marmaris, it’s time to plan your visit. Having spent so much time in this town I can’t recommend it enough. It doesn’t matter what you’re looking for, be it a quiet time or a full-on party, you’ll find it, and most people fall totally in love with Marmaris and return time and time again—I did.

Choose where you base yourself carefully and you’ll be able to enjoy your stay without stress or hassle. But let’s be honest: is it possible to be stressed when the sun is beating down, the sky is blue, and the sea is beckoning? I don’t think so.
