The Attico Resort 2024 Collection

After their impactful September show, staged on a Milanese street, The Attico designers took a slightly more restrained approach for the DTC collection that drops today on the label’s e-site. Shot in a raw industrial space, the visuals reflect a moodier, darker vibe. But fear not, there’s still plenty of The Attico’s tomboy-meets-minx energy in the picture.

“We wanted to simplify,” said Giorgia Tordini and Gilda Ambrosio at a showroom appointment. “To balance the boldness of the show we felt we needed something more streamlined.” Even ‘reduced,’ however, The Attico’s aesthetic is sexy and cool. And so they stayed true to their concoction of street-inflected oversized daywear spiked with flash—think round-shaped hoodies sprinkled with feathers, big cargos paired with racy sequined tops, and barely-there mesh slips toughened up with zippered leather shells.

All that said, their trademark high-low clash here pivoted on sleeker shapes and less humongous volumes than usual. Take look 1 for example, a straight-cut mid-calf leather apron worn over slouchy boots; while looking slightly minimal and industrial in feel, it was totally backless, revealing its true skin-baring nature with the brash confidence that apparently comes with The Attico price tag.

According to Gilda and Giorgia, whose personal looks inform their label, self-assurance and daring seem to be the best recipe for any outfit. Case in point is the newly minted version of their best-selling slouchy trousers—low-slung, wide-legged, and peeling off through plays of stud-like snaps. They can be adjusted to the required degree of undone for an à la carte disheveled, insouciant look. We can bet they’ll make for another hit.
