WonderWorks Destiny Offering Sensory Nights and The Ultimate Holiday Gift to Wrap Up the Year

SYRACUSE, New York – (December 11, 2023) – Striving to offer an inclusive environment for all this December, WonderWorks Destiny is hosting two Sensory Days on December 13, 2023, and December 14, 2023, from 3 pm to 7 pm. Guests who may want to explore the facility in a less stimulating environment can enjoy altered exhibits for only $10 per person, plus tax, during these events. Additionally, WonderWorks offers holiday gift cards, annual passes, and more this month, giving shoppers a unique, family-friendly gift idea.

“We strive to provide family fun for all here at WonderWorks, especially during the holiday season, so we are very excited to host two sensory-friendly evenings this month,” says Paige Perry, education sales manager at WonderWorks Destiny. “Everyone is invited to come explore our interactive exhibits in a comfortable environment.”

Sensory overload is a phenomenon that can impact one’s senses, as the brain is taking in more information than it can quickly process. It can cause people to feel anxious, irritated, fearful, restless, physically uncomfortable, etc. Sensory overload can be brought on by things like large crowds, loud sounds, sudden changes in light or sound, and more. During WonderWorks’ Sensory Day hours, guests will find that the exhibits throughout the facility have been altered to help create a more comfortable environment for those who struggle with sensory overloads. The loud exhibits will be turned off, the inversion tunnel will be stopped, and all music will be lowered. This will help keep guests from feeling overwhelmed and allow them to experience everything WonderWorks Destiny has to offer while having fun and creating memories. Tickets can be purchased upon arrival at the admissions desk. Everyone in the group will be eligible for the $10 discounted rate.

On top of events like Sensory Days, WonderWorks Destiny aims to elevate the CNY holiday season by offering numerous holiday gift options, including gift cards that can be used on admission tickets, annual passes, and retail items. The gift shop offers a selection of shirts and other unique gifts for science lovers on everyone’s list.

“Whether you’re looking for stocking stuffers or a unique gift for a friend, our gift shop has some great options this holiday season. A WonderWorks annual pass is the gift that keeps giving; it entitles the holder to unlimited visits to our facility for an entire year!” says Jon Cascella, general manager at WonderWorks Destiny.

Regular ticket prices at WonderWorks Destiny are $18, plus tax, for the indoor ropes course, $21, plus tax, for access to over 100 interactive exhibits, $30, plus tax, for a VIP combo of the ropes course and exhibits, and $65, plus tax, for a VIP Annual Pass with unlimited visits for a year. Children ages three and under are free year-round. Gift tickets to someone else by filling out the gift authorization form on the ticket website.

WonderWorks features over 100 hands-on, STEAM-focused exhibits, an indoor, 70-foot-tall, suspended ropes course, laser tag, a 4D XD motion theater, the Wonder Zones, and more.
