- The headline HCOB Spain Services PMI Business Activity Index recorded 56.2 in April.
- That was up from 56.1 in March and, although only slightly faster, signalled the best growth outturn since May 2023.
- It was also the eighth month in a row that the index has recorded above the crucial 50.0 no-change mark to signal a sustained period of rising activity.
- Key findings include: stronger gain in activity, despite slower new business growth; job numbers increase sharply; inflation rates remain elevated.
