Who Is The New Chloé Girl?
Chemena Kamali unveiled her first collection for Chloé this morning and the beauty aesthetic doubled-down on a dedication to effortless French beauty.
Lead hairstylist Gary Gill used Dyson’s Supersonic r hair dryer to create styles that enhanced individual models’ hair type: modern, loose waves teamed with typically French-girl long fringes, or face-framing longer pieces, all with a classic center part that looked soft and beautifully casual. “It’s cool, effortless, natural, and flowy with good movement,” Gill explained.
Aaron de Mey led the makeup team, creating clean, almost bare-looking skin. Products by skincareFrench brand Orveda were used to prep and de-puff skin ahead of the early call-time. Makeup was then used simply to spot-treat in areas that needed a bit of coverage, but applied in a way that looked seamless and undetectable. The definition of no makeup makeup. And what could be more French than that?
