Leave It to Chloë Sevigny to Perfect Winter Wear

In much of the world, it’s that time of year where leaving the house requires the sheer willpower to change out of sweatpants into layers upon layers of clothing. But the eternally chic Chloë Sevigny is not one to resort to lazy winter dressing, even in the dregs of January.

Sevigny, who takes up the role of C.Z. Guest in Feud: Capote vs. the Swans, clearly didn’t go method in her role, staying true to her singular style on a walk in New York. The actor, in a blue mélange midi, proved that skirts and dresses are absolutely on the table during the cold months. She bundled up in a sumptuous cognac leather Prada coat—cinched at the waist, lined in shearling, and trimmed with pink fur. (Fellow fashion plate Rihanna wore the same coat in December 2022.) Pledging allegiance to Miuccia, Sevigny also wore a pair of black knee-high Miu Miu boots with white detailing. Tortoiseshell-rimmed sunglasses and a black Vivienne Westwood purse, embellished with the late designer’s orb motif, were the actor’s accessories of choice. Sevigny winterfied her look with a black scarf worn wrapped around her head and neck, Babushka-style, to shield her from the cold.

Maybe Guest wouldn’t wear it, but Chloë Sevigny’s outfit is sure to inspire plenty of people stuck in the doldrums of winter dressing.
