In yet more proof that voluminous hair is in for spring, Kaia Gerber just showed off the kind of root lift that would make any ’60s siren proud. On a trip to St. Moritz in the Swiss mountains, the cold was no match for Gerber’s bouncy supermodel blow dry.
The ’60s wasn’t the only decade her hairstyle evoked. Kaia’s glossy mane echoed the va-va-voom blow dries her mom, Cindy Crawford, became synonymous with during her runway reign 25 years ago. Often side-parted with lots of natural texture, Crawford’s signature look has since enjoyed a renaissance on TikTok, with users posting modern takes on the classic ’90s blowout. Not to mention the fact that big hair has made a big comeback of late–see Miley Cyrus’s larger-than-life mane at the Grammys, and the clouds of backcombed hair on the models at Marc Jacobs’s recent autumn/winter 2024 show.
Paired with smoky eyes, strong brows and a flawless complexion, it’s plain to see that this particular apple did not fall far from the genetically blessed tree.
