Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler Match Their Beloved Birkenstocks

In what looks like a (very convincing) advertisement for Birkenstocks, Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler took a walk in Malibu today, each wearing a pair of Boston clogs. The hit pair of Birkenstocks have reached virality, still struggling to stay on the shelves, but it seems that the model and actor each managed to get their hands on a pair. 

The duo took a stroll with Gerber’s dog, Milo. The model and Bottoms star opted for an all-white outfit, wearing a cropped tank top and a sturdy pair of pants, with a brown sweater draped over her shoulders. The Oscar nominee, for his part, wore a blue button-up with gray pants. (Milo opted to go au natural, save for his collar and leash.) Both Gerber and Butler wore dark sunglasses and navy baseball caps. His featured the Harley-Davidson logo, a presumable nod to his film The Bikeriders. 

Each of the couple wore the oatmeal-colored suede clogs. The shoe, which has been around since 1979, exploded in popularity last year when it placed second on Lyst’s Q3 hottest products list. The beloved shoe has, unsurprisingly, also been a hit with celebrities. Kendall Jenner, Zoë Kravitz, Kristen Stewart, Dakota Johnson, Riley Keogh, and Katie Holmes are all avowed fans. 

Kaia Gerber herself is also a noted devotee, owning the cult favorite shoe in multiple colors, having previously been spotted out in the chocolate brown iteration. Whether she got Austin Butler on the bandwagon, or their twinning footwear was purely coincidental, the duo is reaching new heights in their couple’s style.
