It has been a while since Hollywood produced a hot couple, which–before I hear mention of Harry Styles and Taylor Russell or Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet or Zöe Kravitz and Channing Tatum–is distinct from an It-couple, who, whether by coincidence or engineering, look a little too perfect together. A little too Instagram, a little too “this will be mutually beneficial and we will land a Gucci campaign before making the difficult decision to go our separate ways in amicable circumstances”.
I’m talking about Rosalía and Jeremy Allen White: two hotties–one built like a brick s***house, the other a year abroad student at Goldsmith’s–who seem to have been pulled into each other’s orbit by pheromones alone. You see it on videos like this, where they’re filmed smoking cigarettes behind Honda Civics like two teenagers caught on a school’s CCTV cameras. He’s doing a lot of gesturing with his hands–he’s kind of a goofball like that!–but her eyes are locked into his Dionysian features with the unwavering, wanton expression of someone witnessing this season’s Calvin Klein campaign for the first time.
It helps that both of them dress well, too. That can be a powerful aphrodisiac if you also happen to be interested in clothes. And it means that Rosalía and Jeremy are sort of like Posh and Becks–a partnering that doesn’t immediately make sense until you see the chemistry bubble up through their clothing: bomber jackets, outsized hoodies, the kind of grubby white trainers that are, for some reason, just hot. His worn-in loafers and her Prada kitten heels. Clothing that doesn’t beg for the attention of paparazzi, but nonetheless looks good should it be captured by a roving team of TMZ reporters. Clothing that literally any good-looking couple would wear in real life.
