Consider Ayo Edebiri’s award season wardrobe thus far the appetizer to her BAFTAs night fashion. The main course? Bottega. The Bear star, who in no uncertain terms has become one of the best-dressed women in Hollywood in a very short span of time, ordered a double helping of Matthieu Blazy’s work to take her from the film ceremony to the Vogue Fashion and Film party.
The reviews are in and they are, of course, positive. “The atelier did some truly stunning work that’s oragami-esque,” Ayo tells Vogue of the peachy halter-neck Old Hollywood gown accompanied by a feathered shawl. “I, naturally, love it.” The after-party look, she teases, is a “full 180,” and a masterclass in material manipulation (stay tuned for our late-night coverage to see what she’s talking about). “Genius vibes, sorry!”
Edebiri is well acquainted with Bottega’s craft-centric clothes that are catnip for It girls and their stylists (Ayo works with Danielle Goldberg, who also dresses Greta Lee). “There’s a sense of playfulness and spontaneity that’s met by a level of craftsmanship that is just insane,” says the proud owner of an Andiamo bag and one of the brand’s classic-with-a-twist cape trenches. “It’s hard not to feel cool in their clothes!”
