At a dinner with a friend about a month ago, I mentioned that I don’t own a pair of Uggs. She stared at me in utter shock and said, “How is that even possible, Jude?!” I’ve honestly just never been in camp Ugg. In the past, I would always much rather spend my money on a pair of chic black leather ankle boots, Chelsea boots, or ballet flats. Uggs were a vibe I wasn’t quite vibing with. (I can already hear the roars of, “But you don’t understand how comfy they are!” as I write this.)
That was all until last week when I finally bought my first pair of Uggs, and you’ll be happy to hear I am officially converted. To be honest, it didn’t take too much persuading. I’d already seen celebs such as Bella Hadid and Elsa Hosk wearing them this fall, and then all of a sudden, a slew of ultra-stylish Ugg-boot outfits flooded my feed, and I whispered to myself, I need a pair too. Ahh, the influence of Instagram. While I don’t think I’d go as far as wearing them to work or for an evening out, I do really love luxuriating in their cozy comfort while going about my everyday activities.
